Your mission
The Project Engineer will be reporting into the CTO team. Their main contribution is to ensure a smooth delivery process of new built locomotives and to support the project manager with technical monitoring of locomotives and keepership responsibility.
Success in this role will come from structured and detail-oriented working style and a basic technical understanding of locomotives or the willingness to build such knowledge.
Key tasks
* Supporting the processing of framework purchase agreements between Nexrail and Vossloh Rolling Stock for a total of up to 90 DE18 locomotives
* Participating monthly project status meetings with milestones tracking
* Conducting weekly coordination meetings for delivery planning
* Coordination of locomotive acceptance and handover to the customer
* Close cooperation with the fleet manager for warranty processing (ECM3) at LocMaint
* Preparation of progress reports and presentations, identification of risks and their mitigation
* Collaboration with Nexrail's sales team and fleet coordinator
* Registering or re-registering the locomotives in the respective vehicle register and responsibility for keeping data in the register up to date
* Transmission, evaluation and implementation of (EBA) technical communications, together with and for the subsidiary LocMaint (ECM)
* Monitoring the technical condition of locomotives
Your profile
* University degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related field
* Strong organizational abilities and reliability
* Proactive problem-solving mindset
* Fluent English skills (additional German is an advantage)
* Familiarity with or strong interest in locomotive technology
