In this role, you will design and optimize FUB-IT’s IT security management framework, including planning and monitoring the implementation of developed concepts. You will be responsible for planning, developing, and implementing concepts for data protection and IT security. You will advise on operational and backup concepts, as well as necessary redundancies. Your responsibilities include independently gathering requirements, prioritizing and implementing the design of services in the field of IT security, as well as monitoring, evaluating, detecting, and mitigating attacks on the IT infrastructure of the FU Berlin. Furthermore, you are responsible for the creation, further development, implementation, and maintenance of FUB-IT’s IT procedure documentation, including the assessment of IT security risks, the conduct of security needs analyses, and the creation of risk treatment plans. You are responsible for providing technical guidance to the Abuse Response Team regarding the handling of abuse cases and IT emergencies. In this role, you coordinate the IT emergency teams within the FUB-IT department in the context of IT security incidents. You are responsible for leading and organizing the FUB-IT Change Advisory Board. You will also conduct consultations with advisors, administrators, and users regarding IT security and abuse. Qualifications: A completed academic master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., IT security, computer science) or comparable expertise and experience. (Professional) experience: To perform these duties, at least three years of professional experience in the field of IT security at a university, knowledge of IT organization and the ITIL framework, as well as leadership experience are required. Desired: What we expect from you: You bring in-depth knowledge and experience in the field of BCM, as well as risk assessment methods (ISO 27000) and BSI standards. You also possess excellent communication and presentation skills in German (C2) and very good English skills. You are characterized by a high degree of initiative, a solution-oriented approach, and a strong focus on enablement.
