Your Role:
As the IT Service Delivery Manager - Europe region, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing strategic IT initiatives, ensuring the seamless delivery of end-user support, and driving service excellence across multiple sites/locations.
You will be instrumental in optimizing service delivery, leading strategic projects, and coordinating between global IT teams and local business needs.
You will also serve as the primary point of contact for IT service delivery across Europe.
Job location is Mannheim, hybrid means 2-3 days in the office in Mannheim, 2-3 days home office/weekly.
Key Responsibilities:
* Strategic IT Planning & Delivery :
Develop, implement, and refine IT strategies and concepts to ensure sustainable, scalable, and high-quality IT end-user support. Design and optimize support models that align with business needs and industry best practices. Collaborate with regional and global teams to integrate IT services within business operations.
* Service Delivery Coordination :
Lead the coordination of IT service delivery across all assigned regions. Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including IT service providers, to ensure services meet the needs of the business. Manage day-to-day IT operations to guarantee the uninterrupted functioning of IT systems and services.
* Project & Program Management :
Own and lead key IT projects, ensuring alignment with both regional and global business objectives. Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively. Provide leadership and guidance in the execution of projects that enhance IT service delivery, user experience, and digital transformation efforts.
* Cost Optimization & Budget Management :
Oversee the IT budget for the region, ensuring cost-effective use of resources while maintaining high service standards. Regularly monitor IT hardware inventory across various locations and implement solutions for cost reduction. Identify key local cost drivers in the IT area and develop strategies for cost efficiency without compromising service quality.
* Business & IT Alignment :
Act as a strategic partner, translating business requirements into IT service delivery solutions. Collaborate with business stakeholders and the IT Service Delivery Manager for Central Europe to ensure IT initiatives are aligned with business goals and customer needs.
* Hands-On experience:
Should have hands-on experience and understanding of handling day-to-day business to support the Global HQ local IT requirements.
* Stakeholder Management :
Serve as the primary escalation point for IT-related issues in the region, ensuring rapid response and resolution to service disruptions or challenges. Manage relationships with external IT service providers, ensuring high performance and continuous improvement.
* Support Global IT Initiatives :
Ensure local compliance with global IT policies and procedures. Drive communication of new processes and systems related to IT service providers, ensuring smooth integration of global IT initiatives within the local context.
Experience & Qualifications:
* Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
* Proven experience in IT management, service delivery, and strategic planning, with a focus on end-user support and operational efficiency.
* Strong project management skills, with experience leading complex IT initiatives from concept to execution.
* In-depth knowledge of IT Cloud Infrastructure, Network Infrastructure, IT security principles, and IT Service Management best practices.
* Solid understanding of both IT and OT (Operational Technology) environments and their application in business contexts.
* Expertise in leveraging cutting-edge technologies to drive digitalization, particularly in an R&D setting.
* Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
* Fluency in English and German is required;
proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
* Willingness to travel up to 30% and be based at the Mannheim site.
