Job Description
You will analyze and extend existing software systems and applications in a heterogeneous, complex IT system environment based on an IBM mainframe architecture with the systems DB2, IMS / CICS etc.
As a software developer, you will work with COBOL, SQL, JCL for mainframe software, ensuring the highest quality and efficiency in your work.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Completed studies in practical/applied computer science or training as an IT specialist
* Experience in the mainframe environment with COBOL and in the conception of software as well as tuning options with practice in database modeling
* Practical experience with complex SQL queries as well as database performance analyses and their optimization
* Confident handling of database management systems, preferably DB2 and the associated database languages and tools
* Knowledge of the structures in TWS/OPC for setting up automated batch processes
* Practical experience in IT project management, e.g., process risk analysis, requirements management, business client communication
* Analytical and strategic thinking as well as a solution-oriented approach
