Job Summary
In this position, you will be responsible for quality-relevant master data in the SAP system and will make a significant contribution to ensuring consistent and high-quality product data.
Your tasks
* Implementation of quality-relevant master data changes in the SAP system, e.g., creation and maintenance of materials (SKUs), bills of materials (BOMs), inspection plans, certificates of analysis, and product data sheets.
* Support for various departments at the site and other locations in all matters relating to master data management
* Ensuring data integrity in terms of quality, accuracy, and consistency across different IT systems
* Coordination of the setup, validation and regular maintenance of quality-relevant material master data
* Performing data updates, changes, troubleshooting and material deletions – including bulk data changes
* Processing and responding to inquiries regarding materials and master data; contributing to the development of solutions for implementing functional material requirements in IT systems.
* Reporting and tracking errors and inconsistencies in master data, and ensuring complete error correction.
* Independent analysis and resolution of master data problems, as well as collaboration with IT, specialist departments and business units.
* Participation in projects and initiatives across locations and departments
* Contribution to the further development and optimization of QMDM tools and processes
* Development and maintenance of interfaces to various functions
* Control and updating of bills of materials (BOM) and machine times (routing)
* Supporting the quality department with ad-hoc tasks (e.g. obtaining health certificates)
Your profile
* Completed training as a chemical laboratory assistant, chemical production technician or a comparable qualification
* Several years of relevant professional experience in quality assurance or a laboratory environment
* Experience in handling IT systems for quality management and master data management, ideally in SAP or comparable database systems.
* Excellent German skills and good English skills, both spoken and written.
* Excellent communication skills and a respectful demeanor at all levels
* High accuracy, analytical thinking skills, attention to detail and a strong awareness of quality
* Teamwork skills, initiative and willingness to actively support colleagues
