* Team Leader, Administrative IT (m/f/d)
* (Pay Grade 13 TV-L, 100%, permanent)
* Department V brings together a broad spectrum of academic-related services and supports the university’s planning and strategic development.
These are the tasks awaiting you
* Management of the Administrative IT team, including responsibility for personnel, resources, and projects
* Technical responsibility for all areas of Administrative IT, in particular for the operation of the campus management system PORTA (HISinOne), the ERP system (SAP), and other IT applications used by the university administration
* Collaboration in the (further) development of a forward-looking university digitalization strategy and university IT structures, as well as the coordination and implementation of planned measures within the university administration
* Ensuring stable, secure, and cost-effective IT operations within the university administration (primarily applications and services in the area of administrative processes)
* Planning, managing, and monitoring the administration’s IT budget, as well as procuring hardware and software
* Managing external service providers and IT projects
* Contributing to the further development of the university’s information security, data protection, and risk management
* Advising the Executive Board and academic departments on digital processes and innovations
As part of your role, you will work closely within the Administrative IT team with neighboring teams within the department, in particular the Planning and Development team, the university administration departments, the Center for Information, Communication, and Media Technology (ZIMK), the Information Security Officer (ISB), the Data Protection Officer, and other service units.
What we expect from you
* Completed relevant university degree (Bachelor’s or equivalent), for example in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or Data Science
* Relevant practical experience of at least five years, ideally in a university or public sector setting
* In-depth knowledge of modern IT infrastructures (cloud computing, virtualization, data management and analysis, networks, security, AI)
* Proven experience in the development and implementation of IT strategies and projects
* Knowledge in the areas of IT security, data protection, and licensing
* Excellent analytical and conceptual skills, creativity, and a willingness to learn
* Outstanding communication skills that enable you to identify technical requirements and implement them appropriately
* Ability to lead in a team context
Ideally, you have
* Experience managing complex IT projects in the higher education or public sector
* Experience in requirements management and in evaluating IT products and service providers
* Knowledge of process and quality management (e.g., ITIL, ISO standards) as well as the optimization and digitization of administrative processes
* Experience in designing change processes (change management)
