Your tasks
What you can expect from our customer
You will dive deep into the system and application level to optimize performance and ensure smooth operation (deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting).
Your core tasks
6. Application operation (focus): You will be responsible for the installation, configuration and administration of the Java application servers (Tomcat, JBoss and SpringBoot).
7. Linux system administration: You will administer the underlying Linux systems (RHEL 7-9) and take care of performance optimization and hardening.
8. Deployment & Release: You control the deployment of new application versions and are responsible for release management in close coordination with the development teams.
9. Troubleshooting & Incident Management: You ensure operational readiness through in-depth error analysis and concepts for troubleshooting.
10. Security & Maintenance: You manage the patch management (execution of maintenance and update tasks) for JVM, Tomcat and JBoss and manage the SSL/TLS certificates (keystores, truststores).
11. Concept development: You will develop concepts for the further development and protection of the application and system landscape.

Your profile
16. Completed IT training (at least 5 years of professional experience) or IT studies (at least 3 years of professional experience)
17. In-depth know-how in the administration of Java application servers (JBoss, Tomcat, SpringBoot)
18. Know-how in network security (firewall, VPN)
19. Very good knowledge of Linux system administration (RHEL), including performance optimization
20. Experience in deployment and troubleshooting of Java applications
21. High willingness to learn and initiative
22. Good to very good knowledge of German
23. Good knowledge of English
24. Nice-to-Have: Knowledge of load balancers (e.g. Kemp)
25. Nice-to-Have: Experience with web servers (Apache) or WAF (ModSecurity)
26. Nice-to-Have: Know-how in the area of network services (DNS/Bind, DHCP/Infoblox)
27. Nice-to-Have: Experience with web proxy or mail gateways
