Principal – Analytics & Consulting
Roles: Lead client engagements, build trusted relationships, expand business opportunities, and mentor staff.
Responsibilities
* Act as principal owner of client engagements; owning responsibility for client satisfaction and delivering high levels of quality and added value strategies that address complex client issues.
* Develop close client relationships up to C-suite level at dedicated affiliate and/or HQ accounts in Germany.
* Create and elevate new business opportunities through the identification of value-added follow-on work and new revenue opportunities with existing and new client organizations.
* Allocate direction, advice, and intellectual leadership to clients and delivery teams.
* Form pursuit teams for larger engagements with experts from the broader IQVIA organization during pre-sales, sales and delivery phases.
* Oversee the delivery in a Principal-in-Charge role for projects in area of expertise, with full responsibility to clients for quality, time and budget.
* Lead thought-leadership and firm-building initiatives.
* Remain current on industry, client and competitive trends to anticipate new business challenges and issues with assigned clients.
* Contribute to enhanced awareness of Analytics & Consulting services in the marketplace through speaking engagements, client meetings, and publications.
* Mentor, coach and share subject-matter expertise to help develop individuals and capabilities delivering world-class solutions for clients.
Qualifications
* Minimum Master’s degree or equivalent in business administration, business informatics/engineering, health economics, natural sciences, medicine or related discipline, or knowledge acquired through equivalent experience.
* Extensive experience at a top consulting company, either general strategy or specialized/boutique consultancy.
* Sound, hands‑on expertise in client delivery, project management and business development, including selling complex strategy and operations engagements to top Pharma/Life Sciences companies.
* Several years of project experience with pharma and other healthcare industries; sound knowledge of the pharma industry and its core processes is a must. Prior direct pharma industry experience is welcome.
* Entrepreneurial attitude and innovative mindset with willingness to take risks and strong hunting skills, balanced with long-term strategic thinking for account development.
* Hands‑on approach with strong issue-based consulting and conceptual skills, coupled with an ambition for innovation.
* Excellent listening and communication skills.
* Ability to lead and work collaboratively across complex networks, both internally and with clients, and to influence organizations.
* Proven ability to build relationships, identify client pain points and develop custom solutions at the C-suite level.
* Proficiency in English is a must; fluency in German is preferred.
* Willingness to work in Frankfurt/Munich/Berlin offices when not on-site with clients.
* Client Relationship Management and Delivery – Principal owner of client engagements, focused on client satisfaction and outstanding client deliverables, with proven ability to identify new revenue opportunities.
* Commercial Strategy and Analytics Experience – Able to speak in detail with senior client management about brand and commercial topics in the life sciences industry segment.
* Senior Level Solution Selling – Proven ability to build relationships, identify client pain points and develop custom solutions with key client stakeholders.
* Industry Trends – Maintains a constant focus on industry, client and competitive trends in life sciences, applying this knowledge to active client engagements and business/client development.
* Team Development/Management – Proven skills in identifying, recruiting, mentoring, coaching and retaining top talent for consulting practice teams.
