Our department uses imaging to optimize new therapies and investigates new radio-tracers. The department is equipped with dual energy CT and integrated PET/MRI scanners (Siemens).
Your Tasks
As a medical physicist, you will be responsible for operating imaging devices in both clinical and research contexts. Ensuring safety in handling radioactive materials and the use of X-rays is a primary responsibility, and an appointment as radiation protection officer is foreseen.
A major function also lies in the establishment and optimization of imaging protocols in close collaboration with project partners who will benefit from broad support ranging from the initial experimental design up to data preparation and ultimately quantification.
You will oversee the research PACS at the NCT and be the main contact person for questions about imaging processing, analysis, and archiving.
Your Profile
* Specialist knowledge of nuclear medicine and/or diagnostic radiology (German qualification: Fachkunde im Strahlenschutz für die Anwendungsgebiete Nuklearmedizin und/oder diagnostische Radiologie)
* Experience with clinical PACS systems and DICOM data handling
* Knowledge of Python and/or MATLAB, especially in scientific computing and image processing contexts
* Enthusiastic and motivated team player
* Good communication skills as well as fluency in English
