The Jewish Digital Cultural Recovery Project (JDCRP) Foundation is seeking a Grant Development Officer to join our team, starting as soon as possible. This is a limited-term contract through December 2025, with the possibility of extension depending on funding availability.
About Us
The Jewish Digital Cultural Recovery Project Foundation, established in 2019 by the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany (Claims Conference) and the Commission for Art Recovery (CAR), is based in Berlin, Germany. Our mission is to create and populate a central, scalable digital data repository for archival source material on the cultural plunder conducted during the National Socialist regime.
In addition to this digital repository, the JDCRP platform supports research and education projects that uncover the full scope of the theft and highlight the cultural contributions of European pre-WWII Jewry. By leveraging state-of-the-art technology, we develop cross-archival links and improve search capabilities, serving both specialists and the general public.
Role Overview
The Grant Development Officer will play a vital role in writing, submitting and overseeing grants while ensuring compliance with funder requirements. This includes facilitating communication with donors, partner organizations, and internal team members to ensure alignment between project objectives, grant stipulations, and finances.
This role requires strong bilingual communication skills (German and English), as well as previous grant writing experience with both public and private funding sources. Knowledge of European Union funding is a plus. A background in related fields such as art history, archival research, history, provenance research, Jewish history and Holocaust studies is highly desirable, as is familiarity with AI-driven computer technology and digital humanities.
