Hauptaufgaben
Uses knowledge of standardized and specific Medical Command (MEDCOM), Europe Regional Medical Command (ERMC) and Landstuhl Regional Medical Center (LRMC) supply procedures to maintain an accurate accounting and reporting system for non-expendable property. Follows established methods and procedures, which have been developed by the Property Book Officer (PBO) or supervisor to perform a variety of support duties related to maintaining property accounts and records, completing automated transactions, providing customer assistance, screening reference files, maintains records showing date received, bar code, serial number, and location of property.
Coordinates with procurement and warehouse receiving section personnel to investigate discrepancies and notifies the PBO of discrepancies when found. Reviews transfer documents to ensure transactions are properly documented and equipment transfers are correct on the listing. Informs customers when items requested are ready for pickup or delivery. Coordinates the issue and delivery of both non-expendable and expendable/durable supplies and equipment to the customers. Distributes required reports to equipment custodians, PBO, and others as needed. Incumbent ensures that all procedures for property accountability functions prescribed by AR 40.61, AR 710-2, AR 735-5 and DMLSS are complied with.
Serves as forklift/motor vehicle Operator performing the following functions:
• Operates forklifts capable of lifting up to 10,000 pounds, as high as 168 inches, to move, load, or unload, transfer, transport, and stack or un-stack palletized goods, boxes, crates merchandise, materials, and supplies from one location to another. Performs driver's maintenance.
• Operates a motor vehicle, up to a 5 ton truck, capable of carrying loads weighing more than 1 ton but less than 5 tons. Transports articles and materials throughout the post and on public roads for long, as well as, short hauls, helping to load and unload, assuring vehicle is not loaded beyond capacity. Transports equipment to and from clinics and offices. Transports supply personnel to the Self-Service Supply Center (SSSC), and outlying retail stores/agencies in order to acquire expendable supplies and nonexpendable/durable equipment in support of LRMC mission. Performs driver's maintenance in accordance with established rules and regulations, and on occasion, operates other types and sizes of vehicles for which licensed when required. Completes trip ticket and preventive maintenance services records. Fills out driver's accident report in case of accident. Performs driver's maintenance as prescribed.
Performs other duties as assigned.

E&T Level I: 2 years of creditable experience as defined in A below.
Current employees who do not meet E&T Level I and who are not in the same or similar occupation must have 2 additional years of creditable experience as described in A below.
E&T Level II: 1 year of creditable experience as defined in A below.
E&T Level III and above: No additional experience required.
Current employees who have served one year in the same or similar occupation are qualified for the next higher grade.
Experience A: Included clerical work in an office or store, working with computers, bookkeeping, making and recording inventories, telephone marketing, arranging for events or as a cashier, etc.
