Your tasks
- Development & Optimization: responsible for the planning, calculation and execution of development tasks and experiments to establish diagnostic tests up to market maturity
- Production & measurement: production of the developed assays on a laboratory scale and carrying out measurements as part of clinical studies
- Data evaluation: independently evaluate experimental data using statistical methods and software tools and critically assess them
- Documentation: independent documentation of results in the form of protocols and reports as well as the summary of (sub-)projects are part of the core area
- Communication & presentation: active communication with cooperating departments and preparation of development results and proposed solutions for presentations in project meetings
- Additional tasks: Taking on general departmental tasks (e.g. equipment responsibilities) and passing on specialist knowledge to new colleagues as part of the induction process
Your profile
Must Have:
- Successfully completed studies in chemistry, biology or a comparable field
- Several years of relevant professional experience (alternatively in the course of a Master's and doctoral thesis)
- Experience with analytical methods and test development in the biochemical, biological or medical field
- confident in handling various analytical instruments and have sound knowledge of analytical-biochemical work
- well versed in the use of common IT systems and software tools for data evaluation
- good written and spoken English skills
- good German (does not have to be perfect, basic knowledge)
- the working method is characterized by a high degree of independence, diligence and the willingness to take responsibility for complex projects
Nice to have:
- Master's/PhD possible, but not mandatory: operational laboratory work
