Internship - Scale-up of Bioprocesses using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) (f/d/m)

YOUR TASKS AND OBJECTIVES
In this internship, you will work at the interface between CFD method development and biotechnology. As part of an interdisciplinary team in the "Process Technologies" cluster, you will work on the following topics:
1. Support the scale-up of bioprocesses (in stirred tank bioreactors, among others) by identifying performance parameters, inhomogeneities or optimal operating parameters
2. Application and extension of multi-physics CFD simulation models
3. Automation of simulation workflows
4. Independent planning, execution, and presentation of your work
WHO YOU ARE
In addition to skills such as teamwork, flexibility, initiative, and quality awareness, you identify with the following description:
5. You are an enrolled student (f/d/m) in process engineering, bio/chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering or similar
6. You have theoretical and practical experience in the field of computational fluid dynamics (e. g., Ansys Fluent, OpenFOAM, or M-Star)
7. You are interested in programming und data processing (Python, ParaView, Git, Linux, C/C++)
8. You have basic knowledge in the field of bioprocess engineering
9. Very good german and english skills complete your profile
