KWS SAAT SE & Co. KGaA is looking for a dedicated Technical Assistant (m/f/d) in the field of sugar beet breeding. This diverse position is a full-time, fixed-term contract as maternity leave cover until March 31, 2027, located at our headquarters in Einbeck, Lower Saxony.

What you can look forward to:
1. Implementation of crossing programs from young plant cultivation, scoring and monitoring tasks to harvest work in the greenhouse and field
2. Assisting in the design and implementation of field trials
3. Participation in methodological experiments in the greenhouse, climate chambers, and field
4. Preparation and setup of marker projects as well as sample collection for marker analyses within breeding projects
5. Input, maintenance, and processing of data for the preparation of reports, presentations, and databases
Bring in your strengths:
6. Completed vocational training or B.Sc. degree in agriculture or a related field
7. First experience in practical plant breeding is required
8. Confident handling of MS Office, especially Excel and Access; ideally experience with breeding databases
9. Very good German and good English skills, both written and spoken
10. Flexibility and willingness to carry out routine work as well as to integrate new work processes
11. Independent working style, team spirit, and a high level of responsibility
12. Willingness to travel occasionally (approx. 2–3 weeks per year) and a valid Class B driver’s license
