To start shortly, we are currently seeking an (Sr.) Engineer for our Body Test Group (M/F/D) Full engineering responsibility for Brake system of EU Projects and Performance cars from concept to SOP Co-work with cross-functional teams to ensure design compatibility and target definition (cost, weight, performance etc.) Preparation of concept designs, system- and part development to achieve agreed targets Engineering Order preparation and release for related components Alignment with manufacturing sites, quality and procurement teams to ensure vehicle production and quality targets Sensing and development of new technology (conferences, suppliers, etc.) Provide proposals to optimize existing components and development standards Project planning (budget, resources and timeframe) including documentation and status/result presentation Close cooperation with HMETC departments, EU Plants and suppliers and our R&D Center in Namyang (South Korea) Degree in mechanical/automotive engineering or similar > 5y of experience in automotive industry at OEM or Tier 1 (working on or with Premium EU Automotive brands is a plus) Excellent knowledge of Brake system design, technology and related OEM R&D processes incl. drawing release Solid experience in using CATIA V5 and data systems like PLM, BOM etc. Experience with high performance and / or advanced brakes technology, e.g. carbon ceramic brakes and brake-by-wire High pro-activeness and willingness to work in a multi-disciplinary project group (simulation, engineering and testing) Willingness to travel (including longer business trips to Korea) and valid European driving license B A very good command of English, intercultural & communication skills Proficient in presenting, reporting and handling Microsoft applications like PowerPoint and Excel For questions and details please do not hesitate to contact Ms. Herrmann.
