The Opportunity
A leading international data centre developer is seeking a Regional Director to lead and scale its operations across Hesse, one of Europe’s most strategic data centre hubs.
This is a rare opportunity to take full ownership of a high-growth region; driving development strategy, expanding market presence, and delivering mission-critical infrastructure at scale.
The Role
As Regional Director, you will hold full P&L responsibility and act as the senior leader for all regional activities, including development, delivery, and stakeholder engagement.
You will:
* Lead the end-to-end development lifecycle of hyperscale and colocation data centre projects
* Define and execute the regional growth strategy aligned with European expansion plans
* Build, lead, and develop a high-performance regional team
* Manage key relationships with investors, clients, authorities, and JV partners
* Oversee site acquisition, permitting, and planning processes
* Ensure successful project execution across design, construction, and delivery phases
* Drive commercial performance, risk management, and operational excellence
The Candidate
We are looking for a proven leader with deep experience in mission-critical or large-scale infrastructure development.
You will bring:
* Extensive experience in data centre development, or closely related sectors (mission-critical, energy, large-scale real estate, infrastructure)
* A track record of delivering complex projects in Germany, ideally within Hesse
* Strong understanding of planning, permitting, and regulatory frameworks
* Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and large budgets
* Commercial acumen with experience managing P&L and investment decisions
* Fluent German and English
* A network across developers, contractors, authorities, and key stakeholders is highly advantageous

* Base Salary: €200,000 - €220,000
