About the opportunity You will play a key role in shaping the next generation of digital PCR innovation on our QIAcuity platform. In this senior scientific role, you drive complex application development projects end to end — from early concept, through experimental design and execution, to data analysis and final delivery. You collaborate closely with cross‑functional partners across R&D, product management, and customer-facing teams to translate scientific challenges into impactful molecular solutions. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute your expertise and make a visible impact on a rapidly growing technology area within QIAGEN. Your tasks include Leading and executing R&D projects to develop innovative dPCR-based applications for the QIAcuity platform. Designing, performing, and optimizing complex laboratory experiments, ensuring robust and reproducible results. Managing end-to-end development activities, including documentation, data interpretation, and internal reporting. Providing scientific leadership within cross-functional teams and communicating technical progress clearly to stakeholders. Acting as a senior technical expert to internal teams and external customers, including scientific collaborators and key opinion leaders. Driving continuous improvements across products, workflows, and scientific methodologies. Representing QIAGEN and the QIAcuity system at conferences, workshops, and internal knowledge-sharing events. Your profile PhD in Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related field. Extensive hands-on experience with digital PCR, qPCR, and endpoint PCR technologies. 5–8 years of relevant industry experience in molecular biology, assay development, or product development. Strong expertise in molecular and cell biology methods and enzymatic systems. Proven ability to design, execute, analyze, and troubleshoot complex laboratory experiments independently. Excellent scientific writing and presentation skills for both technical and non-expert audiences. Fluency in English; German at intermediate level is beneficial. Willingness to travel occasionally for conferences, trainings, or customer collaborations.
