Deine Mission
Als DevOps-Praktikant:in unterstützt du unser Engineering-Team bei der Weiterentwicklung und Automatisierung unserer Entwicklungsinfrastruktur.
Während deines mindestens 5-monatigen Praktikums arbeitest du an der Stabilität und Skalierbarkeit unserer Build- und Deployment-Pipelines, bringst moderne DevOps-Methoden in unser Setup und hilfst mit, Open Source Tools für Monitoring, Testing oder Automatisierung sinnvoll in unseren Workflow zu integrieren.
Ob CI/CD mit GitHub Actions, der Aufbau von OTA-Updateprozessen, die Arbeit mit Yocto oder das Vorantreiben von Tooling rund um ROS2 und Containerisierung – du bekommst die Möglichkeit, in echten Systemen zu arbeiten, und dich aktiv in technische Entscheidungsprozesse einzubringen.

Deine Aufgaben
Je nach deinen Interessen und Vorkenntnissen kannst du dich auf eins oder mehrerer dieser Themen fokussieren:
8. Unterstützung beim Aufbau, der Pflege und Weiterentwicklung unserer CI/CD Pipelines mit GitHub Actions
9. Integration und Test von Over-the-Air-Update-Systemen (z. B. Mender)
10. Mitwirkung beim Aufbau einer Yocto-basierten Buildumgebung
11. Entwicklung kleiner Automatisierungstools, Scripts oder CLI-Utilities zur Unterstützung des Teams
12. Evaluierung, Auswahl und Einführung von Open Source Tools für Infrastruktur, Monitoring und Deployment
13. Unterstützung beim Rollout von Software Updates
14. Mitgestaltung interner Prozesse zur Verbesserung von Developer Experience und Softwarequalität
15. Mitarbeit an DevOps-nahen Themen rund um ROS2 oder Containerisierung (Docker, Podman)
Dein Profil
Du musst kein Profi sein – viel wichtiger ist uns, dass du motiviert bist, Neues zu lernen, gerne im Team arbeitest und Lust hast, dich in spannende technische Themen reinzudenken. Wenn du dich in einigen der folgenden Punkte widererkennst, passt du gut zu uns:
16. In einem Studium der Informatik, Elektrotechnik, Software Engineering oder vergleichbarem Bereich eingeschrieben oder bereits vergleichbare praktische Erfahrung
17. Interesse an Themen wie CI/CD, Automatisierung, Linux, Yocto, Open Source oder DevOps-Kultur
18. Erste Erfahrung mit Linux und Programmierung (z. B. Python, Bash, C/C++)
19. Dich selbstständig in neue Tools und Systeme einarbeiten können
20. Lust haben, technische Abläufe effizienter zu machen und Prozesse aktiv mitzugestalten
Nice to have (aber kein Muss):
21. Erste Erfahrungen mit Yocto, Docker, ROS2 oder OTA-Systemen

Your mission
As a DevOps intern, you’ll support our engineering team in enhancing and automating our development infrastructure.
During your internship of at least five months, you’ll work on improving the stability and scalability of our build and deployment pipelines, implement modern DevOps practices in our setup, and help integrate open-source tools for monitoring, testing, and automation into our workflow.
Whether it’s CI/CD with GitHub Actions, setting up OTA update processes, working with Yocto, or advancing tooling around ROS2 and containerization—you’ll get hands-on experience with real systems and have the chance to actively contribute to technical decisions.

Your tasks
Depending on your interests and prior experience, you can focus on one or more of the following areas:
36. Supporting the setup, maintenance, and development of our CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
37. Integrating and testing over-the-air update systems (e.g., Mender)
38. Contributing to the creation of a Yocto-based build environment
39. Developing small automation tools, scripts, or CLI utilities to support the team
40. Evaluating, selecting, and implementing open-source tools for infrastructure, monitoring, and deployment
41. Assisting with software update rollouts
42. Helping shape internal processes to enhance developer experience and software quality
43. Working on DevOps-related topics such as ROS2 or containerization (Docker, Podman)
Your profile
You don’t need to be an expert—what matters most to us is your motivation to learn new things, your enthusiasm for teamwork, and your interest in diving into exciting technical topics. If some of the following points sound like you, you’re a great fit for us:
44. Enrolled in a degree program in computer science, electrical engineering, software engineering, or a related field
45. Alternatively: you already have matching hands-on experience
46. Interest in areas like CI/CD, automation, Linux, Yocto, open source, or DevOps culture
47. Basic experience with Linux and programming (e.g., Python, Bash, C/C++)
48. Ability to independently learn new tools and systems
49. Motivation to make technical processes more efficient and to help shape workflows
Nice to have (but not required):
50. Initial experience with Yocto, Docker, ROS2, or OTA systems
51. Interest in or involvement with open-source projects (such as on GitHub)
52. Familiarity with tools like Git, GitHub Actions, Mender, Grafana, etc.
