Head of Manufacturing SG EU (f/m/d) at Siemens Energy
We are looking for an experienced Manufacturing Department Manager (f/m/d) to join our Switchgear Factory leadership team at Grid Technologies Switchgears. You will lead and manage multiple teams and projects with a focus on occupational safety, on-time delivery of customer projects (OTD), profitability, and manufacturing efficiency. Team development and strategic direction are key aspects of your daily work.
Responsibilities
* Provide functional and disciplinary leadership for a team of approximately 800 employees in Berlin
* Ensure safety and integrity by supporting the Zero Harm program and compliance culture
* Oversee on-time delivery and quality on the shop floor
* Develop and implement manufacturing strategies to drive business growth and profitability
* Foster a diverse and competent team through continuous development
* Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, support functions like logistics, quality management, planning, and finance
Qualifications
* University Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or similar professional education with extensive, relevant experience
* Excellent leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
* Understanding of manufacturing needs and process requirements
* Excellent communication skills in German and English; additional languages are an advantage
* Proven ability to lead both operationally and strategically across multiple disciplines, fostering collaboration and driving problem-solving initiatives with strong self-motivation and a results-oriented approach
* Cultural awareness and experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds
