As a Principal Process Development Specialist, you will drive SAP technology innovation from concept to commercialization. You will develop high quality conceptual process designs, perform technical and economic evaluations, support patent activities, and lead development and test campaigns at customer facilities. Acting as a technical expert and ambassador, you will collaborate closely with customers, vendors, and internal teams worldwide. Key Responsibilities Develop and deliver improvements to SAP process technologies aligned with business and contractual goals Create conceptual process designs and conduct technical and economic evaluations Identify patentable innovations and support IP and patent application activities Plan and support development work and test campaigns at customer sites, including data analysis and recommendations Represent Lummus in customer meetings, site visits, technical discussions, and sales presentations Ensure smooth handover of designs to proposal and project execution teams Support commercialization strategies, including vendor partnerships and proprietary solutions Provide technical guidance to clients and support interactions with equipment suppliers Manage project schedules, budgets, and technical risks Your Profile Accredited engineering degree (Process, Chemical Engineering or similar) Minimum 10 years of experience in SAP process development or process design Strong expertise in SAP production technologies and structure‑property relationships Solid understanding of modern scientific and engineering methods Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Fluent business English required, with German language skills strongly preferred Structured, proactive, and team‑oriented working style Willingness to travel internationally Lummus Technology is the global leader in developing technology solutions that make modern life possible and focus on a more sustainable, low carbon future.
