The Freelance Floor Manager plays a central on-the-ground role in the successful delivery of events. This position is primarily focused on front-of-house operations, service excellence, and live event execution, acting as the operational lead during events.
Responsibilities
* Overall responsibility for the smooth on-site execution of events and the delivery of a high-quality guest experience
* Lead, brief, and coordinate event and service teams while ensuring service and brand standards
* Prepare, oversee, and manage all event spaces before, during, and after events
* Manage live event flow, timings, and transitions, resolving issues proactively as they arise
* Act as the main on-site point of contact for internal teams, external partners, guests, VIPs, and artists
* Ensure compliance with operational, service, health, and safety standards
* Take ownership of on-site decision-making and operational responsibility during live events
Requirements
* 2–3 years of experience in event operations, hospitality, or floor management, ideally in a cultural, hospitality, or premium event environment
* Proven ability to lead service teams and manage live operations in fast-paced settings
* Strong leadership, organizational, and multitasking skills with a hands-on, solution-oriented mindset
* Confident decision-making and problem-solving abilities under pressure
* Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to coordinate multiple teams effectively
* High service awareness with a strong focus on guest experience
* Fluent in German and English; written skills are an advantage
* Proactive, team-oriented, adaptable, and passionate about culture, hospitality, and creating memorable experiences
