Who will you be joining?
Allianz Group Communications drives competitive advantage across Allianz’s diversified businesses, helping the company to realize the value of its scale with expertise in communications intelligence, strategy, trust capital, issues management, public and media relationships, financial communications, publishing, employee engagement, and operational excellence.
As a trainee, you will work on exciting communications intelligence projects for various business partners and can help to build trust in Allianz with different stakeholder groups. You can grow personally and professionally by learning how to interpret, contextualize, and action content performance. With that you help instill confidence in communicators and leaders for future decision-making and save them time by providing them with strategically relevant insights, as well as analytics and intelligence based on data and insights from all media types. In addition, you will have a meaningful role in supporting the development of communicators as they integrate Gen AI strategies and approaches into their daily work. In all your tasks, you will be supported, encouraged and challenged by experienced communicators.
How can you make an impact?
* ANALYZE: You will be introduced to the exciting and varied task of global cross-media analytics, deriving insights from AI-based analytics tools to shape outcomes, package and present insights and data in creative, compelling ways
* INNOVATE: You will support implementing AI tools for Communications use cases and further advance our work with (Gen)AI applications to answer strategic Communications questions
ASSESS: You will contribute to data management, from collecting data, to creating data streams and improving data quality
* EVALUATE: You will learn news judgement to decide which content has potential to impact business. You will build skills in understanding communications performance and how to advise others in the workplace on content improvement
* LISTEN: You will learn to understand the political, social and economic contexts in the world. You will receive the daily news earlier than anyone else and help the communications departments to be the first to know which topics are relevant to them today and in the future
* CONTEXTUALIZE: You will learn how to provide context and how far certain issues are relevant for Allianz’s business and how they might affect Allianz in the future
What are you made of?
Minimum Qualifications
* University degree and/or journalistic training and/or comparable knowledge
* Demonstrates intrinsic motivation for technical advancement of communications and continued learning
* Fluent in English and German (native level in one of the two), written and spoken
* Desirable: Initial professional experience with journalism, social media, public relations work, or data and analytics
* Previous experience in business related functions (e.g. Sales, Operations, Claims, Underwriting, Investment Management, Asset Management, Consulting, Product Development, Finance, Market Management, Digital/ Tech etc.) is a plus
Preferred Qualifications
* Good analytical skills and quick comprehension skills
* Experience in prompt writing and development
* Affinity to working in diverse teams as well as high degree of creativity, self-motivation and independence
* Advanced experience in M365 applications, especially PowerPoint and Excel, Sharepoint and Viva Engage
* Experience with online media and tools, and willingness to learn about new applications and analytics systems
Interest in financial topics
