Working Student (f/m/d) – Computer Science/Bioinformatics
12–20 hours per week
Your field of responsibility
* Develop, adapt, and maintain scripts in Python and R
* Translate existing workflows into Python scripts
* Perform statistical analyses and prepare data for downstream processing
* Support the automation and optimization of analysis pipelines
* Contribute to computational and data-driven projects with biological relevance
* Help in the creation and maintenance of databases
Our expectations
* Completed Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.), preferably in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, or a related field
* Currently enrolled in a Master of Science (M.Sc.) program (or similar)
* Strong interest in analytics, programming, and scientific data processing
* Solid knowledge of Python and R
* Basic understanding of statistical methods and applied data analysis
* Comfortable working with structured data formats (CSV, TSV, tables, measurement data)
* Optional but beneficial: Experience with awk, Linux/Unix command line, relational databases (SQL)
* Biological background or interest in biological topics is an advantage
* Independent, reliable, and organized working style
* Very good English skills, both written and spoken, preferably also German proficiency
