They are now seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Operating Officer (COO) to oversee and lead global operations, ensuring operational excellence, driving strategic growth, and spearheading transformational initiatives. This role is crucial in optimizing operational efficiency, scalability, and profitability, while fostering a culture of safety, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities :
* Lead the development and execution of the operational strategy, ensuring alignment with the company’s long-term growth and financial goals.
* Oversee day-to-day operations across multiple manufacturing sites in Germany and internationally, focusing on operational excellence, efficiency, and profitability.
* Manage P&L responsibility, ensuring budget management, cost control, and achieving profitability targets.
* Develop and implement operational policies, best practices, and processes to optimize production, improve product quality, and drive operational efficiencies.
* Lead continuous improvement initiatives to drive productivity, innovation, and cost savings across the manufacturing plants.
* Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards, fostering a safety-first culture across all sites.
* Collaborate with R&D, engineering, and commercial teams to align operational strategies with product development and market needs.
* Manage talent development and succession planning, ensuring a strong leadership pipeline across multiple locations.
* Report directly to the CEO and executive leadership team, providing operational insights and strategic guidance.
Key Requirements :
* Extensive Experience : A minimum of 10+ years in senior operations leadership roles within manufacturing, with a focus on managing multiple sites.
* Experience in Electrically Engineered Products : Proven background in overseeing operations within industries that produce electrically engineered products (e.g., automotive, renewable energy, industrial electronics).
* Strategic Leadership : Strong experience driving operational transformation, cost optimization, and growth strategies within manufacturing.
* P&L Responsibility : Demonstrated success in managing and optimizing P&L, with a focus on cost control, revenue growth, and profitability.
* Operational Excellence : Strong understanding and experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies to drive efficiency and improvements.
* Travel : This is a hybrid role requiring significant travel between manufacturing sites (approx. 70-80% of the time). Candidates should be comfortable with regular travel and flexible working arrangements.
* Language Skills : Fluency in English (both written and spoken) is essential. Proficiency in German is a plus.
* Education : A relevant degree in engineering, business administration, or a related field. An MBA or similar advanced qualifications is preferred.
