Overview:
Our client is a European private capital investment platform with a growing presence in the DACH region and Southern Europe. The Munich office serves as a hub for pan-European investments, with particular coverage of Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Italy.
This opportunity is positioned within the buyout team, offering direct exposure to transactions across multiple industries, with an emphasis on complex cross-border situations and growth-oriented LBOs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deal execution: build and maintain advanced LBO and transaction models, run valuation analyses, and prepare investment committee materials
* Due diligence: manage workstreams across commercial, financial, and operational due diligence processes
* Origination support: contribute to sourcing and evaluating new opportunities across the DACH and Italian markets
* Portfolio management: support value creation, bolt-on acquisitions, and operational improvement initiatives within portfolio companies
* Sector research: analyse industry dynamics and develop insights to inform the firm’s investment strategy
Candidate Requirements:
* 2–4 years of experience in investment banking (M&A, leveraged finance) or top-tier strategy consulting
* Strong technical skills in financial modelling, particularly LBOs and complex valuation work
* Native-level fluency in German and professional fluency in Italian is required
* Demonstrated understanding of DACH and Italian mid-market dynamics
* Entrepreneurial mindset, team orientation, and ability to work in fast-paced, international environments
