About Fidelity Germany :
Germany is a key Fidelity International location hosting four different asset management distribution channels: Institutional, Wholesale, Personal and Workplace Investing, with a combined AuM of €30bn. These businesses are in part supported by FIL Fondsbank GmbH (“FFB”), which administers €33bn of assets and not only provides platform services to external advisors but also offers shared services to some of the above channels. FFB is a regulated bank and therefore subject to a multitude of regulatory requirements.
About your team :
The Workplace Investing Operations department is part of global Workplace & Personal Financial Health business. Workplace Investing Germany has been established in 2006 to exploit the potential of defined contribution concepts and to position Fidelity as a leading full-service solution provider in the German pension market. Within this context, Fidelity is offering three main propositions to corporate clients in Germany, a value account plan (Lebensarbeitszeitkonten), a DC-type pension plan as well as the external funding of book reserves whether DB or DC via the Fidelity contractual trust arrangement. WI Operations is responsible for the onboarding of new clients as well as managing any clients changes, daily requests and administrative processes. For this purpose, the WI Operations team interacts with the Sales, Relationship, Legal, Marketing, FFB Operations Team within Fidelity and also the external providers for the member administration.
About your role :
You will be responsible for supporting clients and relationship directors in all sorts of questions regarding their existing value account and occupational pension schemes. Client-orientation is key to this role. The overall goal is to ensure accuracy in the ongoing daily operational processes. A high level of ownership, excellent organisational skills and the ability to plan, supervise and control effectively is required. In addition, you will be responsible for managing any WI-related projects with a focus on but not limited to operational / administrative improvements within the Institutional Business area.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Assist clients in day-to-day queries and provide guidance to them
2. Manage and coordinate corporate actions, client onboardings and changes
3. Account openings in accordance with German regulatory law
4. Manage ongoing daily operational processes
5. Liaising with internal and external stakeholders
6. Support right level of project governance, risk management and documentation
7. Support reporting and analysis
8. Ongoing improvements of processes & procedures
About you :
9. University degree in Business Administration; IT, and/or Economics/Finance or equivalent
10. Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience
11. Strong team player with a client-centric mindset
12. Project Management skills and good understanding of processes, MS Office knowledge (especially Excel and Power Point)
13. Thinking “out of the box” and the willingness to take over responsibility
14. A good knowledge of the German occupational pension market is certainly an asset, but not necessary
15. Excellent organisation skills, conceptual thinking and attention to detail
16. Fluency in both German and in English (orally and in writing) and good communication skills are required
17. Excellent Excel and/or data analytics skills are a plus
18. Able to demonstrate flexibility
