Your tasks
7. Definition and design of the system architecture for complex solutions, including the selection of suitable components and their integration into the overall system
8. Gathering, analyzing and specifying system requirements, taking into account performance, costs, robustness and environmental conditions
9. Integration of hardware and software components into functioning overall systems and ensuring compatibility and performance
10. Definition and coordination of interfaces between different system components and subsystems
11. Planning and carrying out system tests and validations in the laboratory and in the field to check system performance and reliability
12. Diagnosing and resolving complex technical problems in systems and their environment
13. Technical evaluation and selection of components and suppliers as well as close cooperation with external partners
14. Preparation of comprehensive technical specifications, test reports and system documentation
15. Working closely with interdisciplinary teams, including hardware, software and algorithm developers and project managers
Your profile
16. Degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics, computer science, systems engineering or a comparable course of study
17. Several years of professional experience in the development and integration of complex systems, ideally in the fields of automotive, robotics, industrial automation, medical technology or aerospace technology
18. Knowledge of communication protocols and interfaces, e.g. CAN, Ethernet, fieldbuses
19. Sound experience in embedded system development and microcontroller programming
20. Knowledge of the fundamentals of control engineering and system dynamics
21. Confident handling of relevant simulation software, e.g. MATLAB/Simulink, as well as measurement technology, including oscilloscopes and data loggers
22. Programming skills in Python, C/C++ or comparable languages an advantage
23. Very good written and spoken German and English skills
24. Strong analytical and conceptual skills as well as a structured and solution-oriented way of working
25. Ability to work in a team, strong communication skills and the ability to present complex technical issues in an understandable way
