This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a passionate, high profile, high-impact Medical Affairs team, and work in a highly dynamic and collaborative setting.We are seeking a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) who will have overall responsibility for leading, managing, and supporting ripretinib and the pre-launch/launch phase of vimseltinib in Germany. The MSL will report to the Medical Lead DACH.The MSL provides national vision and direction for the medical strategy and ensures all activities comply with Deciphera’s policies and SOPs. She/he will implement a targeted medical strategy for her/his territory, focusing on operational tasks and aligning with business objectives. The successful candidate will have significant experience in establishing strong relationships with external scientific and medical communities.The MSL acts as a key liaison between our organization and healthcare professionals, contributing to our medical affairs strategy. Responsibilities include developing relationships with key opinion leaders, providing scientific insights, conducting compliant field interactions, and communicating medical insights to cross-functional teams, including market access and commercial colleagues.We seek someone passionate about medical science, collaborative, and capable of thriving in a dynamic, cross-functional environment. This role offers the chance to impact patient care by bridging clinical research and medical practice.This position is remote, with significant travel expectations. Residence preferably in Nordrhein-Westfalen.Key ResponsibilitiesCoverage of a dedicated area with active management and insight tracking, including operation of the western part of Germany.Build and develop enduring relationships with HCPs, patient advocacy groups, professional societies, and institutions; create cross-functional partnerships.Work with external vendors and medical agencies for activities such as advisory boards and medical education.Contribute to the development and editing of medical communications, including briefing documents and FAQs.Ensure key data and scientific communication points are included in local publications and presentations, with statements supported by data.Participate in cross-functional teams and make presentations to colleagues and management.Support internal training of customer-facing colleagues to enhance their knowledge of clinical data and medicines.Promote Deciphera’s values.QualificationsScientific or Medical Degree (Pharm D, PhD, MD) required.Minimum 5 years of pharmaceutical industry experience, preferably in Oncology.Experience in interpreting scientific data, market research, and developing medical educational strategies. Proficiency with Veeva and Microsoft Office.Ability to lead strategically, drive performance, and collaborate effectively.Knowledge of local pharmaceutical codes and SOPs.Ability to develop and implement strategic plans.Excellent communication skills.Flexible, positive attitude, strong multitasking and prioritization skills.Ability to travel approximately 50%.Additional InformationDeciphera offers competitive compensation, including base salary, performance bonuses, long-term incentives, and benefits.
