Group Leader (f/m/d)

Your Role
As a group leader, you will establish and lead an independent research program that is both ambitious and innovative, aligning with the overall focus of the RVZ. Your research should ideally complement and expand ongoing collaborative initiatives at the University of Würzburg, such as:
DFG Collaborative Research Center/Transregio 387 «UbiCancer»
CRC 1525 «Cardio-immune Interfaces»
CRC 1583 «Decisions in Infectious Diseases»
and the upcoming Cluster of Excellence «NUCLEATE - Cluster for Nucleic Acid Sciences and Technologies» (launching 2026)

Your Profile
We are seeking outstanding candidates with:
A PhD in the natural sciences (or equivalent qualification).
A clear, original, and forward-looking research plan, outlining the scientific background, key questions, methodologies, and long-term goals of your work.
Demonstrated scientific excellence, creativity, and potential for leadership in an interdisciplinary research environment.
