Director of Engineering and Asset Management EMEA page is loadedDirector of Engineering and Asset Management EMEAApply remote type Flex locations Germany / Essen France / Paris Poland / KĘDZIERZYN-KOŹLE United Kingdom / Field_Home Based United Kingdom / Manchester time type Full time posted on Posted Yesterday job requisition id JR105338Director of Engineering and Asset Management will be primarily responsible for identifying and delivering commercially, technical and operational solutions to match current and future business needs in our specific sites in the EMEA Region.This role can be based anywhere within EMEA.SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIESStrong collaboration with our Global Business Units and value added services teams to enable new business opportunities in the EMEA Region. Drive concept development including specifications and make-or-buy-decisions.Oversee Regional EMEA CAPEX projects, ensuring adherence to budget and regulatory requirements.Prepare and manage with Finance the annual Regional CAPEX budget and expenditure proposals.Lead Technical Reviews in CTE Community for BSPLead capital projects safely and within budget and timeline. Lead, delegate and execute contract control transparency, cost control, project scheduling and project planning.A strong technically minded professional with working knowledge in the EPC services industry, key factors affecting it and with strong contractor management skills. You should be comfortable working with changing evolving service contracts and ensuring best value and performance.You will be monitoring closely the KPI performance of contractors and in-house teams, ensuring industry best practice and the highest standards for Brenntag.Standardisation of project management tools, templates and processes. Further develop Brenntag‘s Project Framework with BES, align regional approach and own Engineering ProcessIdentify and drive cost and time gaps and traps in partnership with internal and external stakeholders for present and future projects.Provide technical expertise and support to operations regarding equipment performance, troubleshooting and site specific maintenance strategy.Define technical standards, document them and share within BSP technical communityIdentify opportunities and acting to continuously improve operationsEnsure collaboration and alignment with the respective regional counterparts of BSP and BES.Lead the development and regional implementation of lifecycle asset strategies to optimize our key assetsImplement Asset Integrity Programs, Evaluation Plant Asset Condition and Risk Based Maintenance for the Sites and act as regional guide for other sites in EMEAEXPERIENCE:Education: A university degree or post-graduate degree in one of the following disciplines is required: Master’s degree in mechanical/Chemical Engineering.The relevant candidate has a proven multiple years experience in a capital equipment, large-scale project, EPC, or Petro-chemical industrial environment with high profile organizations.The candidate has a successful working experience in technical environments while understanding the needs of manufacturing and operations.Experience in developing a project management team to top performance, through excellent leadership and communication skills; proven ability to recruit, motivate, develop, retain, and lead his/her team.Familiar to work in a global/multinational and corporate environment and to gather a considerable part of his experience in comparable, technical, and capital-intensive dominated environments.Deep understanding of the essential principles of the broader value and supply chain management in relevant industrial industry sectors.PERSONAL SKILLS & ATTRIBUTESDemonstrated effective team-relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders.Senior authority and personality with persuasiveness and excellent communication- and negotiation skills, who is accepted at all levels of the Brenntag organisation.Will be instantly credible professionally and will inspire passion and trust.
