The primary objective of the role is to lead business development, sales strategy, and client relationship management in the insurance industry with key focus on the Re-Insurance segment.
Business Development & Strategy:
Sales Strategy: Develop and implement the sales strategy for the Re-Insurance sector, targeting key decision-makers.
Client Relationship Management:
Account Management: Lead client engagements, managing relationships at a senior level, and ensuring satisfaction with services delivered.
Custom Solutions: Collaborate with technical teams to create customized IT solutions (such as New Business/ Renewal/ CRM, Underwriting, Claims Management, Data & Analytics, ML, AI, etc.) Consultative Selling: Use a consultative selling approach to identify pain points within the banking sector and propose technology-driven solutions to improve operational efficiency, customer experience, and regulatory compliance.
Advocate for digital transformation initiatives in Re-Insurance, driving the adoption of emerging technologies such as AI, RPA, and data analytics.
Oversee sales forecasting, budgeting, and pipeline management. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with delivery, operations, and technical teams to ensure that client requirements are met and projects are delivered on time and within scope.
Team Development: Lead and mentor the business development team focused on the banking sector, providing guidance on sales techniques, client engagement, and solution development.
The Senior Business Development Manager Re-Insurance plays a pivotal role in driving the company's growth within the Insurance industry and especially the Re-Insurance segment.
This role is critical for the firm’s expansion in the highly competitive insurance sector, requiring a dynamic manager with a deep understanding of both Re-Insurance operations and technological innovation.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, or related fields.
In-depth expertise in business development, sales, pre-sales or account management in the Insurance and Re-Insurance sector.
Strong sales acumen with excellent negotiation skills and experience closing large, complex deals.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to offer tailored technology solutions to meet client needs.
Fluent GERMAN language skills are a must. English language skills are mandatory as well.
Ability to think long-term and align business development initiatives with the company’s overall strategic goals.
