Job Description: To support our Rare Diseases team in Germany, we are looking for a Key Account Manager Rare Diseases - South East (f/m/d) Region: South-East Germany (München, Ulm, Würzburg, Nürnberg, Regensburg) The Key Account Manager RD focuses on identifying patients in office-based gastroenterologists, smaller clinics and top centers, ensuring therapy initiation. The KAM RD is responsible for building, developing, and actively managing regional networks to improve the identification, referral, and appropriate treatment of patients with rare liver diseases. Your tasks Proactively identify adult PFIC patients in the retail setting by engaging with office-based gastroenterologists and smaller hospitals. Increase disease awareness and diagnostic consideration of PFIC in adult patients. Ensure clear and efficient referral pathways from peripheral physicians to designated PFIC expert centers. Act as a key interface between referring physicians and expert centers to support timely and appropriate patient transfer. Conduct focused key account work with PFIC expert centers to support evaluation and initiation of appropriate therapy for referred patients. Build strong, trust-based relationships with multidisciplinary teams at expert centers via e.g. dedicated projects, regional events. Drive share of voice in PBC centers. Increase disease awareness, urgency to treat and faster switch for uncontrolled patients from 1st to 2 nd line. Support identification of new 2nd line PBC patients Own and actively develop regional rare liver disease networks (initiate, establish, and manage formats) Organize and manage targeted networking events involving KOLs, expert centers, and peripheral physicians. Co llaborate closely with Commercial, Medical, and Brand teams to ensure aligned executio n. Qualification required Certified as a Pharmaceutical Representative Several years of experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry, i deally in roles involving rare diseases, specialty care, or network-based engagement. Experience working with gastroenterologists and/or hepatologists is strongly preferred. Proven experience in key account work, network management, or similar customer-facing roles. Experience in organizing and managing scientific or educational networking events. Track record of effective collaboration with Key Account Managers or similar commercial roles. Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage both scientific experts and peripheral physicians. High level of ownership, prioritization skills, and ability to operate effectively in a complex, matrix environmen t.
