Job Description Your role and goals Productsup is seeking an experienced Senior People Business Partner to support our global teams. This role is based in Berlin, and presence in the office on a hybrid schedule is required. As our new Senior People Business Partner, you will be the strategic partner for a critical part of our organisation. Reporting to the Chief People & Culture Officer, you will work directly with the executive and senior leadership teams, translating business strategy into a tangible people-first agenda. Your primary mission is to build leadership capability, foster a high-performance culture, and solve complex organizational challenges. You will own the people strategy for your client groups, driving initiatives across organizational design, talent management, performance coaching, and employee engagement. With a strong and progressive HR background, ideally in the Software/ Tech space, you are comfortable with ambiguity and thrive working in a fast-paced, demanding, and complex space. In your first 3 months, you will: Get up to speed with the company’s structure and people processes Build the basis for long-lasting relationships with your key stakeholders Cultivate strong partnerships with the wider People & Culture functions (TA, People Ops etc), creating effective ways of working to ensure a seamless and effective employee experience. Start to contribute to the People Business Partner team projects. In your first 6 months and beyond you will: Act as a strategic thought partner to senior leadership, translating business strategy into a forward-thinking people agenda. Partner with leaders to identify critical talent gaps and drive strategic workforce planning. You'll champion initiatives around performance management, career development, and retention. Proactively shape our company culture by analyzing data and employee feedback to drive meaningful engagement strategies. You will manage complex employee relations cases with a focus on fair outcomes and cultural integrity. Advise leadership on HR policies and ensure our people practices are compliant with relevant local labor laws, embodying both legal requirements and our company values. Deliver on key People projects, collaborating with different stakeholders within the department and the wider organization What you bring to the team 5 years of progressive experience as an HR/People Business Partner, preferably within a fast-paced, high-growth SaaS or technology environment, and advanced generalist knowledge in the HR field Solid German labor law experience. Previous experience with labor regulations in other markets (especially Europe and North America) would be a big plus Proven ability to build strong, trusted relationships and influence senior leaders and executive teams Proven track record in planning, developing, and implementing various People projects (i.e. performance management, employee engagement, headcount planning) across the employee lifecycle Thorough understanding of an enterprise software environment Excellent communication skills that support relationship building, collaboration and mediation Proactive and future-oriented thinking skills to keep us ahead of the curve Strategic mindset combined with a “get things done” and solution-oriented attitude You're comfortable with ambiguity and thrive on solving complex people and organizational challenges. You have a track record of handling sensitive employee relations cases with empathy and professionalism. Experience supporting diverse teams across multiple countries and navigating different work cultures and employment laws.
