Warehouse Operator | Logistics & Materials Handling
Fixed Term Contract | Site Based – Cologne, Germany
ENG Bauen has been tasked with securing Warehouse Operators for an urgent operational role at a high-activity redistribution center in Cologne. This position will support the day-to-day flow of materials, inventory management, and customer-facing logistics, ensuring smooth and efficient warehouse operations.
The role offers the opportunity to work on a fast-paced site where attention to detail, safety, and efficiency are key. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in warehouse operations, forklift handling, and inventory control, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Successful candidates will contribute to the safe handling, storage, and movement of goods, while following established procedures and maintaining compliance with internal and legal safety requirements. This position provides exposure to operational logistics processes and the chance to play a key role in a well-organized and highly functional warehouse environment.
The Role:
* Manage inventory, including receipt, storage, and issuing of goods.
* Sort, stage, and transport materials using handling equipment.
* Serve as the on-site point of contact for customers and handle order processing.
* Maintain warehouse documentation using standard software systems.
* Conduct inspections of returned materials, ensuring quality and compliance with regulatory standards.
* Follow all relevant health, safety, and environmental procedures.
The Ideal Candidate:
* Vocational training in a warehouse, logistics, or technical trade.
* Valid forklift license and experience operating warehouse equipment.
* Comfortable performing physical work and working in all weather conditions.
* Reliable, responsible, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
* Experience with inventory systems or SAP is an advantage.
