All about the role We're seeking a strategic data leader to spearhead the data and analytics function in Just Eat Takeaway’s German market, Lieferando. This role will be based in Berlin. As part of the country leadership team, you will use data to shape our business strategy, optimise customer experience and improve operational efficiencies. You will lead our data strategy from conception to execution, and work on strategic projects and analyses that will have direct impact on the country’s top and bottom line. Most importantly, you will be in the forefront of driving a data culture, embedding data into everything we do and every decision we make. Key Responsibilities Develop a data strategy for Lieferando to enable top and bottom line growth and optimise customer experience for Germany Break down strategy to an actionable roadmap and drive its execution with the rest of the data team Foster a data culture throughout the business, by providing the right tools and analysis for decision making, education and change management Work closely with the senior leadership team and other cross-functional departments across sales, marketing, finance and logistics, to agree and track progress against key KPIs Monitor business performance, proactively perform strategic analyses and present actionable insights to executive level audience Lead and mentor a team of skilled BI professionals and analysts Your Profile: Numerous years of relevant experience in business analytics, business intelligence, within consulting, tech, consumer goods/services or similar industries Strong commercial acumen - able to understand what drives disproportionate impact to the business, and challenge stakeholders using data and commercial / operational knowledge where appropriate Comfortable working with ambiguity within a fast-paced environment Proven expertise in data strategy development and presenting analyses to executives and senior leadership Demonstrated ability in managing, mentoring, and developing teams fostering a collaborative, growth-oriented team culture Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with a proactive, data-driven, and logical mindset Strong SQL skills and experience in data extraction and cleaning exercises, and familiar with data visualisation tools like Tableau, Power BI, Looker Proficient English language skills are essential German language skills are nice to have, not essential At JET, this is on the menu: Our teams forge connections internally and work with some of the best-known brands on the planet, giving us truly international impact in a dynamic environment.
