We are seeking a Project Lead Statistician to join our Early Development Statistics team. The position is based in any of our offices in Brussels (Belgium), Monheim (Germany), Slough (UK), Raleigh, or Atlanta (US).
About the role
* Provide strategic direction and leadership for the biometrics (statistics) team, which may focus on a Therapeutic Area, Complex Compound with multiple indications, or an expert biometrics team in a specific area (e.g., safety, launch, pre-clinical).
* Translate strategy into tactical planning, operations, and ensure quality.
* Serve as a key member of the Development Team for one or more compounds, collaborating closely with Development and Regulatory leads to guide overall strategy.
Who you'll work with
You will report to the Head of Early Development Statistics.
What you'll do
* Lead and shape the biometrics team, ensuring strategic alignment and operational excellence.
* Influence the translation of strategy into tactical plans and oversee quality.
* Contribute as a key member of the Development Team, providing guidance on strategy.
* Ensure the timely delivery of all biometrics team outputs to the larger project team.
* Foster a culture of continuous learning and upskilling within a modern Biometrics organization.
* Drive transformation in the statistics operating model.
Qualifications and Skills
* PhD (preferred) in Biostatistics, Statistics, or equivalent.
* Several years of management experience leading global teams.
* Strong knowledge of drug development across all phases.
* Multiple therapeutic area expertise (preferred).
* Ability to understand how functional expertise contributes to the bigger picture.
* Proven influencing and collaboration skills within asset development teams.
