Job Description: A vacancy for anEquipment Engineer (d/m/f) for Eurofighter Sensor systems has arisen within the Electronic Warfare and Weapon Systems Center of Competence of Airbus Defence and Space in Manching.Our team is responsible to develop sensor equipment solutions for the Eurofighter, e.g. Electronic Warfare products as well as E-Scan Radar, within national and multi-national projects supporting the overall product life cycle: starting with technology and research projects, feasibility studies and system definition phases, development, integration and qualification tasks and finally to support the introduction to customer fleet.We are looking for a highly motivated engineer to strengthen our team to support the upgrade of the Eurofighter’s Defensive Aids system.Your benefits:Be part of an international and growing team directly influencing Eurofighter’s futureCollaboration and communication directly with various Airbus Center of Competences, Airbus Project Management, Equipment suppliers, partner companies and our customersActivities and tasks as part of varying projects across multiple product life cycle stagesYour tasks and responsibilities:Manage the communication between the Equipment supplier, the EDR disciplines and the Airbus organizational entities, who are responsible for Reliability, Maintainability & Testability (RM&T), Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) and In-Service Support (ISS), to ensure the inter-discipline and inter-project compatibility of the Equipment supplier artefacts and deliveriesSupport the analysis of Customer requirements and In-service procedures to derive Equipment requirements relevant for RM&T as well as for ILS and ISS in cooperation with the Equipment supplierSupport the Requirements-Based Engineering of the Equipment supplier and validate the derived requirements as well as the related designGive guidance and harmonize RM&T as well as ILS and ISS-specific planning between Airbus Engineering and Equipment supplierSupport qualification and verification activities at supplier’s premisesValidate supplier’s RM&T as well as ILS and ISS documentation; contribute to development milestone reviewsSupport technical workshops with stakeholders from Airbus, suppliers and partner companiesDesired skills and qualification:Bachelor/Master in, Aeronautical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Software EngineeringKnowledge about and experiences in RM&T, ILS and/or ISS processes and products (e.g. AGE, STTE, Training, Technical Publications, LRI repair, In-Service demands)Knowledge about and experiences in Customer’s In-Service processes and proceduresKnowledge about Eurofighter Weapon System Avionics and Built-In Testing concept is an advantageKnowledge about Electronic Warfare functionality and technology is an advantageExperiences in managing an Equipment supplier within aviation industryFluent German and EnglishGood communication skillsEager to work in international projects and as part of an interdisciplinary teamNot a 100% match?
