Your profile
* Preferably fully qualified German lawyer (“Volljurist”), or comparable qualification in another European country.
* 7+ years of professional experience in the automotive industry or a comparable sector.
* Experience in all relevant legal areas of automotive business.
* Business fluent in German and English.
* Cultural sensitivity and experience in developing a team in a challenging environment.
* Strong leadership skills, especially for leading a remote team in a dotted-line structure.
* Ability to position the Legal & Compliance Department as a strategic business partner.
* Business management understanding combined with legal expertise.
* Innovative thinking and ability to develop a vision for the department.
* Establish and maintain a strong working relationship with the Regional Legal & Compliance Europe team and implement unified approaches.
* Lead the legal and compliance team across various legal areas: commercial, antitrust, contract, product liability, civil, European regulatory, corporate, competition, IT, IP, and coordinate external legal consultants.
* Manage corporate matters, draft, review, and negotiate contracts.
* Support the legal team with general legal inquiries and represent MOBIS Parts Europe externally.
* Identify legal risks in business activities and develop mitigation strategies, adopting a business-oriented legal counsel approach.
* Contribute to creating an aligned European legal strategy by collaborating closely with the Regional Legal & Compliance Europe team.
* Implement training programs for colleagues in Frankfurt and other locations.
* Identify opportunities for improving legal processes, including contract review, drafting, negotiation, strategic counseling, and claims management.
* Continuously review and enhance the existing compliance system by implementing new measures.
* Coordinate with affiliates globally for mutual support and aligned legal and compliance strategies.
* Develop and lead the company-wide data protection initiatives in collaboration with the Data Protection Officer.
* Support the professional development of each legal team member.
