Laboratory Manager (f/m/d)
Operational area: Department of Hematology, Oncology, Hemostaseology, and Stem Cell Transplantation (Dept. Of Medicine IV) - Lab Group Medyouf
Key Responsibilities
* Experimental Responsibilities:
o Overseeing the development and implementation of research protocols
o Conducting and assisting with mouse experiments
o Supporting and training laboratory members in advanced experimental techniques, including multispectral flow cytometry, single-cell omics, and 3D models
o Supporting collaborative efforts and coordination with core facilities
* Laboratory Management:
o Implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of digital laboratory management systems (e.g. ELN / eLab)
o Coordination of laboratory ordering, inventory management, and logistics
o Ensuring adherence to safety standards and regulatory compliance
Required Qualifications
* Completed bachelor's degree in the field of biomedicine, biology, biochemistry, molecular biology, or a comparable scientific discipline with a medical focus; alternatively, completed training as an MTA / MTL.
* Demonstrated experience in laboratory coordination, management, or senior technical roles within a research environment (minimum 2 years)
o Proven ability to work with murine experimental models is a must
o Strong scientific understanding of complex experimental workflows
o Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a research team
o Strong organizational, administrative, and communication skills
o Very good command of English
* Additional expertise in any of these advanced experimental techniques would be considered a plus:
o Multispectral flow cytometry
o Single-cell omics
o iPSC culture and derived models
o Functional CRISPR screening
o Knowledge of German or willingness to acquire it
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively
* Strong organizational and coordination skills
* Strong communication skills
