Technical Writer / Editor - DE - Westhausen
Summary
In this responsible position, you will play a key role in the creation and maintenance of technical documentation for our high-quality screwdriving tools and control systems. You ensure that complex technical content is communicated clearly, in compliance with relevant standards, and in a way that is easy to understand – both internally and externally.
Key Responsibilities:
* Create, maintain, and update technical documentation in accordance with applicable standards and legal requirements
* Prepare CE declarations of conformity in compliance with relevant regulations
* Manage and maintain documentation content in our editorial system and in SAP
* Closely collaborate with departments such as R&D and production to ensure technical accuracy
* Coordinate external service providers for translation and printing
* Visually prepare technical content to enhance clarity and comprehension
* Structure and standardize documentation with consideration for technical terminology and internal quality standards
Critical Skills & Qualifications:
* Degree in Technical Communication, Engineering, or a comparable qualification
* Professional experience in technical documentation, ideally in mechanical engineering or automation technology
* Solid knowledge of relevant standards (e.g. DIN EN ISO, Machinery Directive) and experience with CE documentation
* Experience with XML-based editorial systems (preferably bloXedia)
* Proficiency in image editing and documentation tools (preferably Adobe Creative Cloud)
* Excellent German language skills and confident command of English, both written and spoken
