About JHC Consulting
JHC Consulting is a private advisory practice that provides counsel to chief executives, chairs, and board committees on consequential decisions. We specialize in written analysis designed to remain on file and be referred to long after a meeting concludes. Rather than delivering presentations or facilitating consensus sessions, the firm produces memoranda that are authored, signed, and owned by a single individual. Our approach rests on the belief that a well reasoned, seven page document is more valuable than a forty page slide deck. All engagements are grounded in the discipline of absolute discretion and analytical honesty. The work is precise and demanding, favoring clarity over volume and evidence over assumption.
What You Will Do
* Coordinate the production schedules for multiple analytical reports simultaneously.
* Manage version control for multi page memoranda ensure that the most recent draft is always available.
* Fact check specific citations and data points contained within our written reports.
* Oversee the secure delivery of final documents to client committees.
* Maintain the firm archive to ensure that past counsel is easily accessible for future reference.
* Organize the research materials that form the foundation of our advisory work.
* Assist with the editorial review of documents for formatting and consistency.
What You Bring
* A high level of competence in written English and a keen eye for detail.
* The ability to work independently in a remote environment without frequent direction.
* Strong organizational habits, especially regarding file management and documentation.
* A preference for deep work and long periods of focused concentration.
* The discretion required to handle sensitive information for board level clients.
* A background in studies such as law, history, or philosophy is helpful but not mandatory.
* Logical thinking and the capacity to identify inconsistencies in documents.
Working at JHC Consulting involves a commitment to intellectual honesty and the written record. We provide an environment that favors deep work and mentorship, where the quality of output is more important than the speed of communication. You will be part of a team that believes in providing a stable foundation for the future of the organizations we serve. Success here is measured by the clarity and precision of our shared work.
