Introduction to the Position
Our client, an international company headquartered in Munich, is seeking an Interim (Freelance) Dynamics 365 Business Central Consultant to support their ongoing system upgrade project. This freelance role will provide critical expertise during the transition period as the company recruits a permanent Business Central Consultant. The project is expected to last between 4 to 6 months. The working language of the business is English, and the successful candidate must be based in or near Munich to collaborate closely with internal stakeholders across finance, operations, and IT.
Your Responsibilities
* Lead and deliver key phases of the Dynamics 365 Business Central upgrade project
* Act as the go-to expert for Business Central across internal teams
* Gather and analyse business requirements and translate them into system specifications
* Configure and optimise Business Central functionalities to meet business needs
* Collaborate with external implementation partners and internal departments
* Provide training, documentation, and support to end users
* Ensure a smooth transition and knowledge handover to the incoming permanent consultant
Desired Qualifications
* Strong experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or NAV in a hands-on, in-house role
* Previous experience supporting ERP upgrade or implementation projects
* Solid understanding of finance and operational business processes
* Ability to work independently and communicate clearly with stakeholders
* Fluency in English; German language skills are a plus but not essential
* Must be based in or near Munich and available to work on-site as needed
* Freelance availability for the full duration of the project (4–6 months)
