Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team as a Chip Design Engineer. This role will involve designing and developing complex chip architectures, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of designs into production.
Responsibilities:
* Design and develop complex chip architectures, taking into account performance, power consumption, and cost constraints.
* Collaborate with engineers from various departments to ensure that designs meet the required specifications and quality standards.
* Develop and implement test plans to validate chip functionality and identify potential issues.
* Analyze design data to identify areas for improvement and optimize design performance.
* Participate in design reviews and provide input on design changes to ensure alignment with company goals.
Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering/Science is required. Alternatively, candidates with relevant industry experience and a strong background in chip design may be considered.
Skills and Qualifications:
* Proven expertise in designing complex chip architectures and bringing up devices to production maturity.
* Strong understanding of programming languages such as C++, Java, Python, and JavaScript, as well as scripting languages like Phyton and Java Script.
* Familiarity with Linux-based operating systems, especially RedHat and Ubuntu.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a global team, with strong English language skills.
* Customer-focused mindset and presentation skills to relay technical information to audience & trainees.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience working in design validation teams or with EDA companies.
* Familiarity with Portable Stimulus Standard (PSS) and/or FPGA/firmware/bare metal programming.
* Good understanding of customer needs and requirements.
* Willingness to travel regularly within EU, US, and Asia.
