Job Overview
A Yard Area Manager will oversee yard operations, ensuring seamless coordination with Dock, Receive and Ship teams. The goal is to maintain a First-In-First-Out (FIFO) processing system and mitigate customer experience risks.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with site leadership to enhance on-time truck performance, safety metrics, and customer satisfaction.
* Establish efficient communication channels among multiple stakeholders to streamline truck flow within the yard, guaranteeing timely arrivals and departures.
* Report yard performance to local site leaders, identify root causes of structural issues, and work with stakeholders to resolve them.
* Lead proactive process improvement initiatives and implement Lean tools to optimize workflows.
* Operate under various time constraints to meet critical business needs, measuring and identifying key activities performed.
Requirements:
* Effective partnership with Site leadership to drive improvements in On-time Performance, Safety, and Customer Experience.
* Strengthened communication between multiple stakeholders for streamlined truck flow in the yard.
* Yard performance reporting to local site leadership, identification of root causes, and driving resolution with stakeholders.
