Working alongside driven colleagues, you’ll have the unique opportunity to blend analytics and AI with ESG risk analysis, making a tangible impact on how we manage the supply chains of a global energy trading leader. You’ll dive into exciting cross-functional projects, gain first-hand experience in strategic initiatives, and help to bring groundbreaking AI solutions to life.
1. Advance the development of global energy trading within the RWE Group and support our strategic vision for sustainable supply chains
2. Conduct research into environmental and sustainability risks across international supply chains - including countries, industries, transaction types and trading partners
3. Partner with sustainability managers to understand ESG risk assessment and help transform these insights into smart, AI-driven solutions for risk identification, assessment and documentation
4. Create and develop AI assistants (personas) for ESG analysis using latest AI chatbot technologies
5. Support the implementation and integration of machine learning models into internal processes and systems
6. Collaborate on the documentation of digital processes and technical AI solutions
Job requirements and experience
7. A strong interest in the transformation of global energy supply chains toward sustainability and a desire to contribute to a greener future
8. Enrollment in a degree programme such as computer science, IT, machine learning, engineering, or sustainability - with a genuine flair for technology
9. Hands-on experience in creating AI assistants (e.g., GEMS, GPTs) through coursework or real projects
10. Practical skills with languages like Python, and familiarity with machine learning tools, databases, or cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) are beneficial
11. Skilled in Microsoft Office - especially PowerPoint and Excel
12. A structured, analytical approach to problem-solving; reliable, self-motivated and a proactive team player
13. Commitment to a regular presence on the RWE campus in Essen
14. Fluency in English
Advantageous, but not essential
15. Background or exposure to ESG and energy markets
16. German language skills are a plus
