Das GSI Helmholtzzentrum für Schwerionenforschung in Darmstadt ist eine öffentlich finanzierte Forschungseinrichtung und betreibt eine der weltweit führenden Teilchenbeschleunigeranlagen für die Wissenschaft. Derzeit wird in internationaler Zusammenarbeit die neue Anlage FAIR (Facility for Antiproton and Ion Research) gebaut, eines der größten Forschungsvorhaben weltweit. GSI und FAIR bieten die Gelegenheit, in diesem internationalen Umfeld zusammenzuarbeiten, um Wissenschaft auf Weltniveau zu betreiben.

Das Energiemanagement von GSI und FAIR ist ein unterstützender Prozess im Nachhaltigkeitsmanagement. Aufgrund der Abhängigkeit der wissenschaftlichen Anlagen von elektrischer Energie liegt der Fokus auf der sicheren, wirtschaftlichen und nachhaltigeren Stromversorgung. Neben Strom benötigt der gemeinsame Campus von GSI und FAIR noch Gas für die aktuelle Heizwärmeversorgung sowie Stickstoff und Helium zur Kühlung der wissenschaftlichen Geräte. Der jährliche aktuelle Gesamtenergieverbrauch des Campus in Darmstadt liegt über alle Energieträger hinweg im Mittel bei etwa 70 GWh.
Die Hauptaufgaben des Energiemanagements sind die Sicherstellung und Weiterentwicklung eines nachhaltigeren und energetisch optimierten Betriebs am Campus. Dabei ist auch die Berücksichtigung neuer Technologien und neuer Konzepte zur Energieversorgung seit Jahren im Fokus. Das Ziel ist es die Energieeffizienz in allen Bereichen von der Planung von Infrastrukturen über die gesamte Beschaffung bis hin zum Betrieb und der Instandhaltung kontinuierlich zu steigern.
Aktuell führen GSI und FAIR ein Energiemanagementsystem nach DIN EN ISO 50001 ein und bauen ein neues Messnetz für Energiedaten auf.
Ihre Aufgaben:
* Unterstützung bei der Einführung und anschließender Weiterentwicklung eines Energiemanagementsystems nach ISO 50001. Dazu gehören unter anderem:
o Sammlung und Bearbeitung von energiebezogenen Daten
o Erfassung und Dokumentation von Prozessen im Bereich des Energiemanagements
* Mitarbeit bei der Erstellung energetischer Konzepte und Auswertungen
* Unterstützung bei der Umsetzung von gesetzlichen Anforderungen, wie z. B. des Energieeffizienzgesetzes
Ihr Profil:
* Bachelor- oder Masterstudent*in mit natur- oder ingenieurswissenschaftlichem Hintergrund (z. B. Energiemanagement, Umwelttechnik, Messtechnik oder vergleichbare Studiengänge)
* Erfahrungen im Energiemanagement, z. B. aus Praktika oder Werkstudierendentätigkeiten
* Ausgeprägtes Interesse an Nachhaltigkeitsthemen
* Sorgfalt, Zuverlässigkeit, Einsatzbereitschaft, schnelle Auffassungsgabe, Teamfähigkeit und Eigeninitiative
* Sicherer Umgang mit den MS Office-Anwendungen
* Sehr gute Deutschkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift
* Gute Englischkenntnisse
Beschäftigungsumfang:
Max. 20 Stunden pro Woche zunächst befristet für ein Jahr mit der Option auf Verlängerung.

Promoting young researchers is a major priority for the Helmholtz Association. Its qualification schemes for young researchers are geared mainly towards PhD students, postdocs and young managers. The Helmholtz Association has set high standards for its talent management. Its strategy begins with targeted recruitment of highly qualified staff at all levels, followed by comprehensive support aimed at further developing their potential. Ensuring equal opportunities is an essential element in all talent management activities undertaken by the Helmholtz Association.
The Helmholtz Graduate Schools and Research Schools at almost all Helmholtz Centers provide doctoral students with the general and specific skills and training they need, as well as ample opportunity to network. The period following a doctorate is decisive in determining the direction and success of a scientific career. For this reason, we established Career Development Centers for postdoctoral researchers in the Helmholtz Centers. This equips young researchers with the skills they need to go on to head a Helmholtz Investigator Group, for example. As an Investigator Group leader, junior scientists can independently set up their own group to conduct research in their specialist field and acquire management skills.
Within its talent management strategy, the Helmholtz Association pays special attention to the increased recruitment of talented female scientists both from Germany and abroad.
