What we offer you Exciting insights into various business areas and fields of activity Challenging and practical project tasks where you can apply and expand your knowledge Individual support and mentoring from experienced mentors The opportunity to actively contribute to ongoing projects You'll make an impact by You support the development and application of simulation models for thermal systems, such as heat pumps and district heating networks, by working with Python-based tools and libraries Building on this, you assist in analyzing and improving steady-state and dynamic simulations to enable more accurate operation and optimization of energy systems Furthermore, you contribute to the assessment of communication standards and open-source solutions for integrating heat pumps into electric grids for flexibility provision In addition, you help develop standardized models for thermal storage units based on real laboratory plants, supporting their integration into optimal control strategies Finally, you implement and test methods for forecasting thermal loads, leveraging both simple approaches and regression-based techniques This is how you'll win us over Education : You are currently enrolled in a degree program in mechanical engineering, process engineering, electrical engineering, control technology, or energy technology Experience and Skills : Proficient in software development, especially with Python Quick comprehension of new Python libraries and frameworks Solid understanding of energy technologies and thermodynamics and their modeling Ways of Working : You work independently, are eager to learn, and have strong analytical thinking skills Languages : You have fluent English language skills You are much more than your qualifications, and we believe in the potential of every single candidate.
