HR Director Europe - Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany
The Company
An international business with a strong European presence and the majority of its workforce based in Germany. The HR function spans the region and is supported by a team of approximately 25 HR professionals.
The Role
Reporting directly to the CFO, the HR Director Europe will take full ownership of the regional HR function. This is a hands-on leadership role with a strong focus on the German market while maintaining oversight of the broader European remit. The team includes 2 Senior Managers and 5 HR Business Partners.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and develop the HR team across Europe
* Drive the people strategy in close alignment with the business
* Oversee all core HR operations including talent acquisition, performance management, compensation, and employee relations
* Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and the C-suite
* Manage the relationship with works councils
* Ensure consistency of HR practices across the region while adapting to local requirements where needed
The Ideal Candidate
* Seasoned HR leader with significant experience in a senior HR role within a German-headquartered or German-focused international business
* Proven track record managing large, geographically dispersed teams
* Comfortable engaging directly with C-suite stakeholders
* International HR experience highly desirable
* Business-level German and English required
