Backend (Senior) Software Engineer (m/f/d) Java
Getinge delivers top-notch solutions for healthcare providers around the world. In particular, our division ”digital health solutions” (DHS) creates advanced digitization products with a strong positive impact on treatment processes. We are currently searching for a motivated and knowledgeable individual joining our team in Hamburg to contribute to the advancement of our Patient Flow Solution providing different applications for workflow and efficiency optimization for hospitals.
Your role
1. Analysis, Design, Planning and Implementation of optimized frontend and backend code ensuring you are in alignment with our standard methodologies, project and customer requirements
2. Advancing and maintaining build processes and shipment of deliverables in reliable development cycles
3. Finding simple and future-proof solution for sophisticated technical challenges
4. Strengthen and apply coding guidelines, standards and best practices to ensure a maintainable codebase
5. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for features, code, APIs and architectural decisions where necessary
6. Agile collaboration with a distributed and international team
7. Exhibition of good and constructive communication skills in a remote setting
8. You are not afraid to question the status quo, lead discussions and create ideas and solution spaces
9. Make informed decisions that drive the success of the product

Your profile
14. Deep expertise and a minimum of 3 years work experience with Java backend development.
15. Proficiency in relational databases like MSSQL and ORM frameworks like Hibernate
16. Experience in C#/.NET development is a plus
17. First experiences with frontend development including Javascript/Typescript/HTML/CSS and/or with React is beneficial
18. Creation and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines on Azure DevOps Platform
19. Experience working with containerized applications
20. Familiarity with monitoring and code quality tools like Azure DevOps Advanced Security
21. Understanding of UI/UX principles
22. Preferably, knowledge of healthcare communication standards such as HL7, DICOM and FHIR
23. Good English skills
