Position: Oracle Database security and control specialist
Location: Frankfurt, Germany ( 2-3 days onsite weekly or 6 days monthly)
Engagement: FTE Permanent OR FTC ( 11 months 22 days contract )
Language: English-speaking; German fluency is a plus (not mandatory)
Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced Database Security & Control Specialist to join our security function in Frankfurt. This senior role focuses on database security control onboarding, compliance, audit readiness, and Oracle database security engineering.

* Database Security Engineering (Oracle Focus)

Qualifications:
Security & Compliance Expertise
* Proven experience in security engineering, security architecture, or security compliance roles
* Strong understanding of security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001)
* Hands-on experience with regulatory and compliance requirements such as SOC 2, GDPR, HIPAA
Database Engineering (Oracle‑centric)
* Extensive experience in Oracle database installation, configuration, administration, and security hardening
* In-depth knowledge of Oracle security capabilities such as TDE, auditing, and access controls
* Experience with database patching, upgrades, and performance tuning from a security perspective
Delivery & Project Management
* Strong experience managing and implementing security controls end-to-end
* Familiarity with delivery methodologies (Agile, Waterfall)
